July 2026 Update
Construction at Cass County Station continues to make excellent progress, bringing OPPD closer to meeting the future energy needs of the communities we serve.
This investment will help strengthen the reliability and flexibility of OPPD's power system, supporting homes, businesses, schools and industries throughout our 13-county service territory as the region continues to grow.
Earlier this month, crews poured 812 cubic yards of concrete overnight for the Unit 3 combustion turbine foundation. This was one of the largest concrete pours for Cass County Station. The operation began at midnight due to hot weather and involved about 90 concrete delivery trucks.
Beginning July 22, you may once again see an increase in truck traffic to Cass County Station between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and lasting two weeks.
During this time, neighbors may notice the more trucks on the roads leading to and from the station, as well as additional daytime noise from deliveries. We understand this activity may be disruptive, and we appreciate your patience while this important work is completed.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this phase of the project.
Thank you for your contribution!
