Update Summer 2026

The project continues to progress at a strong pace, with foundations 96% complete, 84% of structures set, and 60% of the wire strung at the end of August. With numerous activities underway, strong collaboration across multiple disciplines continues to drive the project forward. Recently this project was featured on OPPD The Wire with an impressive video showing how the new towers – the largest in OPPD’s service territory – are now holding a 345-kilovolt (kV) line in place over both sides of the river, along with a 69-kV line and a lower-voltage distribution line.
