Jan 2026 Update: Segment 1

Construction on Segment 1 of OPPD’s North Douglas County Transmission Project is scheduled to begin Jan. 26.

Crews will begin building the transmission line along State Street, between 114th and 140th streets. Construction includes installing new foundations, poles and high-voltage transmission lines. OPPD has already relocated smaller distribution lines in the area. OPPD anticipates completing this segment in June 2026.

This work will take place at various times. Still, you will see OPPD and our contractors, Brink Constructors and Dietzel Enterprises, as work progresses. 

We recognize this work may cause some inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve our infrastructure. Safety is a priority. We’re asking our neighbors to be aware of construction activities around their property and to avoid entering active work sites. It’s essential to allow sufficient space for field crews and their equipment.
