Jan. 2026 Update: Segment 3

OPPD is moving into the pre-construction stage for the North Douglas County Transmission Project, which will improve the electric transmission network to serve increasing demand by all customers. In this next stage, crews will begin preparing the transmission corridor along Segment 3. Crews will begin to remove trees and brush in the Sunny Slope neighborhood beginning on January 12. This work will occur at various times. You will continue to see OPPD and our contractor – Hughes Tree Service and Asplundh – as work progresses.

Safety is a priority. We kindly ask you to be aware of activities happening around you. Please do not enter active worksites and allow plenty of space for field crews and equipment. Thank you for your patience as we make these investments to support reliability and growth across the district.
