April 2022 Update

Construction on new transmission lines to connect the new plant and substation to the power grid is beginning. Our partner contractor, Brink Constructors, has begun working with their subcontractors to clear trees along the routes. In addition, material is being delivered daily to our staging area off 180th and Platteview Road. In the coming weeks, Dietzel Enterprises, a Brink subcontractor, will begin foundation installation in the area. Read more about the Sarpy Southwest Transmission Project.

Grading is nearly complete where the new facility and substation will be located. Over the next couple months and into the summer, OPPD’s vendor, Zachry, will begin work on the associated substation and will begin construction on the natural gas plant.
