Thank you to everyone who provided valuable feedback for OPPD’s Board of Directors to consider as they look internally for the utility’s new CEO. The survey closed on April 6. The board will use the feedback to guide them as they interview internal candidates. The finalists will be announced in early May and will be posted here on OPPDCommunityConnect.com.
The process is continuing as planned and is on track. The Board of Directors shared an executive summary update on input received at the April 13th Committee Meeting. More than 1,000 stakeholders provided input though a variety of ways, and that feedback is summarized on this presentation.
OPPD’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Tim Burke, announced his plans to retire in July after 24 years with OPPD. During his six years as President and CEO, Burke has led the utility through important transformation and provided significant leadership among the industry and throughout the communities OPPD serves. During its succession planning process and beyond, OPPD remains committed to fulfill its vision of leading the way we power the future and its mission to provide affordable, reliable and environmentally sensitive services to its customers.

A thoughtful, transparent processes is in place to choose OPPD’s next CEO. The board of directors, with support from OPPD’s Human Capital team, have aligned on a preferred approach to the hiring process, with a focus on an internal search.
